In this Entry Level App Critique Writer position, you’ll focus on analyzing and assessing various language learning platforms, ranging from vocabulary tools to in-depth grammar resources. Through hands-on testing, you’ll evaluate user experience, educational effectiveness, and interactive features. Your detailed assessments will guide language students in selecting appropriate learning software and give app creators valuable feedback for improving their products.
Roles: Install and thoroughly test applications on your mobile device or tablet, exploring every feature and functionality. Following your testing phase, compose a comprehensive written summary documenting your findings and noting any issues encountered.
Requirements: You must own or have regular access to one of these devices: iPhone, iPad, Android smartphone, or Android tablet.
Contract length: Ongoing, with no predetermined end date.
Rate: $35 per hour (varies based on app complexity and the thoroughness of analysis requested).
Skills/background needed:
- Possess a smartphone or tablet with the ability to download, install, and navigate apps proficiently
- Comfortable working without direct supervision
- Capable of meticulously adhering to detailed guidelines and processes
- Minimum 5+ hours weekly availability
- Stable, consistent internet connection
